701 New Deal

Season 7 starts out with a brief recap of previous events. Then we start the episode in The Dominican Republic. At least it is suppose to be. It has the look and every indication of having been filmed on set inside the Coconut Grove Convention Center Studio. I have not confirmed this yet but would be very surprised if it were not.

It switches to 9 months earlier but still at the studio.

Then we see Mike arrive at his deep cover diggs. Filmed on location at 1525 NW 1st Place, Miami.

Then we see Michael walk out the rear of his apartment building and walk through the lot of 1535 NW 1st Place. Despite the poverty of the neighborhood there is a Ferrari with out any registration tags on it parked in the lot. He fights for free in this lot.

The interior of Michael’s apartment may have been filmed there on location or a set at the studio. Location unknown.

Then we see Michael meet with Strong at a ball game. Filming location unknown.

Then we see Michael return home where he is alerted to intruders. Filmed on location at 1525 NW 1st Place, Miami.

Then we see Sam poolside where he is informed of a visitor. Filmed at Palm Bay Club and Marina. 770 NE 69th Street, Miami. We saw this location used previously in episode 42, Partners In Crime where a bomb was placed under a bench close to where Sam is now lounging pool side.

They meet in the “member’s lounge”. It appears it was also filmed on location at the Palm Bay Club but I will have to go their to confirm this.

Then we see Sam rush into Jesse’s office. This was filmed on location at the Offices At Grand Bay Plaza, 2675 South Bayshore Drive. Without having gone there to determine otherwise, my best guess is they are on or about the 11th floor.

Then we see an aerial view of what is suppose to be Dominican Republic but is clearly South Miami Beach.

Sam calls Fiona from Jesse’s office. She is working a bail skip. Filmed on location at 4770 Biscayne Blvd., Miami.

Then we see our trio at the famous Carlito’s. Filmed on set at the rear of the Coconut Grove Convention Center Studio.

Then we see Michael watching 4300 Biscayne Blvd. This is the building just south of the famous Banco Libre from Freefall. Though it looks like Michael is observing from a nearby building he is not. Michael is on an older building that has been gutted for a total remodel. Filming location unknown.

Then we see Fiona at Madeline’s. Filmed on set inside the studio.

From Madeline’s, Fiona talks via the telephone with Jesse at his office. He was filmed on location at the Offices At Grand Bay Plaza.

Then we see Michael enter 4300 Biscayne Blvd. The exterior was filmed there on location. The interior may have been filmed there but I will have to go there to confirm this.

The getaway van is parked at the rear (NW corner) of 4300 Biscayne Blvd. The Miami Jewish federation (4200 Biscayne Blvd.and the channel 10 building are seen in the background. I recognized the buildings having seen them in the background of the final episode of Miami Vice, Freefall.

Then we see Jesse and Sam tracking Pablo down at a rental house. Filming location unknown. Lots of clues as to the location yet I have not figured it out yet.

Then we see an exterior establishing shot of the Continental National Bank (79 East Flagler Street) at the NW corner of the intersection of Flagler Street and East 1st Avenue. Downtown Miami. We have seen this location used previously in Miami Vice episode 38, Florence Italy.

Then we go inside. The interior scenes were filmed on location at 1900 Biscayne Blvd. The street number, 1900 is clearly visible above the door. You may recognize this location from it’s use in episode 15, Trust Me.

Then we cut back to the house where Sam takes flight and they discover the iID that links to Madeline’s meeting.

Fi gets to Madeline too late. Filmed on location at 1900 Biscayne Blvd., Miami.

Then we see Michael gets outed at a road block. Filmed on location in Miami on NW 23rd Street just east of NW 1st Avenue.

Michael and Burke meet at night. Filming location unknown.

Then we see a daytime meeting with Michael and Strong. Filmed at a farmers market. Location is unknown but it may have been filmed under the metromover station on NE 15th Street by NE Miami Place. Location unknown.
